Overview

The purpose of this course is to provide an investment advisor with a thorough understanding of publicly registered, non-traded Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs). Non-traded REITs have become a common vehicle for retail investors to make direct investments in real estate. In fact over 90 billion dollars worth of non-traded REIT securities were registered with the SEC at the end of 2011.

There are many unique factors that must be considered when analyzing and making investment recommendations regarding non-traded REITs. This course has been designed to assist investment advisors in that process.
